OOTP Baseball 2007
By john • May 11th, 2007 • Category: opinionsSo I spent some money and bought OOTP Baseball Manager 2007. The game itself is pretty in-depth, probably too in-depth for most people.
Frankly I’m kinda angered by the amount of guys from Honduras and other non-existent baseball countries that make their way into leagues. To top it off the game is slower then ever! Your grandmother on a mo-ped would beat this thing.
To illustrate my point I left my computer running this game all night and I got roughly 6 years complete. A whopping six years.
My original goal was to sim 30-50 or so years and start from there. But after about 17 I gave up. When I looked at my team it was full of Mexican, Japanese and one black guy. I was rather disappointed. So I took the time to make a few trades.
Unfortuantly if you are playing with all the leages, then even Korean teams can trade you talent for your players at any time. I don’t see many Korean teams trading with the Detroit Tigers but I pulled off about four deals with them. Too bad too… my black guy might not be into that whole style of government. Too bad for homeboy.
The verdict’s still out on this one but I’m not giving it the Keith Lockhart steamer of approval.
