Pirates considering Joel Skinner as manager

By john • Oct 23rd, 2007 • Category: joel skinner, pittsburgh pirates

Two weeks ago a report from the Pittsburgh Gazette came out that the Pittsburgh Pirates were considering Cleveland Indians third base coach Joel Skinner the front runner on their managerial list.

I can only assume that the Pirates are now fully convinced Skinner is the man to lead them to their 16th losing season in a row.

For those who are blind or without tv sets Skinner is the coach who failed to send Kenny Lofton around third on a hit by Franklin Guetierez. Casey Blake then hit into a double play and the inning was over as was the Indians season.
