I just can’t stop posting today. Hey I’d of put them all in one large post but I don’t think it would make much sense. 

With Carrie’s ongoing pregnancy and the burden of having to take care of so many animals we deceided to go forward and sell the two sun conures and chinchillas that had been a part of our home.

In December we welcomed a breeding pair of conures into our home. The conures didn’t even make it a full month in our house before we had enough. Being untame birds I’m not really sure how Carrie figured she would keep them quite and when the sun rose so did the noise downstairs. Aside from having to cover them up so much and a few snips at our hands they didn’t do anything bad it’s just that we don’t have the cages or the patience to work with them as Carrie now has roughly 10 weeks until the little one pops out.

Speaking of little ones popping out she made me watch some videos on YouTube. I wouldn’t recomend searching for that.

The chins were a little harder to part with. In November of 2006 I had gotten Carrie a standard colored chincilla which she named Tony Romo. A few months later we purchased a mosiac female(Milkshake) and later the two breed and had two babies. Recently Tony Romo passed away and since then we just didn’t have the same emotion towards the others. Our cage was lacking toys and aside from having to deal with Milkshake’s plucking of it’s bars we didn’t have much interaction with them. They were good little creatures and who knows I’d consider them again in the future but with all the cats still around and the dogs something had to give.

So we flipped the money we received for the animals for a baby mattress and a bedding set oh and some bottles. Hey Toy’s R Us had a 15% off coupon. Baby’s room has come along pretty well and aside from some touch up paiting around the top of the walls there’s not much to be done anymore. We’ll continue to save up and collect money for a swing, carseat and all the other stuff. Oh, did I mention we got baby the cutest little Longhorns outfit at Wal-Mart. Still wasn’t able to convince Carrie to get the Bevo mobile but I’ll take what I can get.

With each passing day I think I’m even becoming a little nervous as this day approaches. I mean I know hundres of babies are born each day and I’m not normally one to make a big deal about things but seriously this is kinda a big deal.

With all that is going on I just feel like a ball of excitement right now. I’ve been more motivated then in past months to get things done and be creative.

The job search continues as well, not going as well there.
