behind the dugout

a look in from the outside

I can’t believe it’s almost February…

It’s Sunday and while there are no NFL games today there is change abound. This marks the last time I work on the weekend shift. At first I was not welcoming a month that required me to work on Saturday and Sunday for 12 hours but after some split shifts and a three day weekend (albeit Monday-Wednesday) I have to admit I will miss it.

Originally slated to be a 12 hour shift the three of us have cut the shift into eight hour days by having four hour lunch breaks. Hey, it’s not like there is anything to do anyway. It’s roughly 10:30 am now and the second guy has left for his 4 hour break, mine will take me from 2:30 till the end of the work day. I’ve cracked open a can of Big Red and taken a sip.

The weekend offered me escape from the idiots that run this office. It gave me freedom from password resets and trouble tickets that I lack the permissions to fix. It’s given me a wealth of time to write on my blog and while I sometimes have to attend PT on my days off it’s allowed Carrie and I to spend more time together.

Our tax return is scheduled to be deposited on the 29th. We’re debating back and forths between big tv and bedroom set. The television idea was winning but I will not lie that bedroom set has gained a ton of ground. We’ll see in the coming days I’m sure a blog entry will be dedicated to this. Our next baby appointment is also on the 29th.

In addition to all that I have my first job interview tomorrow at 1 pm. We’ll see how that goes.
