I can’t believe it’s March

By john • Mar 1st, 2008 • Category: personal

February is a short month but I can’t begin to describe how quickly it went by this year. It seems like just a few days ago the Giants were upsetting the Patriots in the Super Bowl, I was celebrating a birthday and we were talking about how our little bundle of joy was due at the end of March.

It’s March now and in the recent days we’ve gone from saying our bean was to be bornĀ at the end of March to saying that he would arrive at the beginning of April.

February did mark some new experiences for us. We went to our first baseketball game and later made our first stop in at both Luby’s and Bill Miller’s BBQ.

I can’t lie the food at Luby’s was good and if you can manage to stay away from getting more then the two sides that come with the entree it’s a fair price to pay. Of course wheny ou add in 1.80 for each salad, and the same for a glass of tea you’ll notice the increase in your bill and it’s not too flattering.

Bill Miller’s was pretty good as well. I’m not the biggest fan of the BBQ but it’s nice from time to time. I was a little dissapointed with the wait on Carrie’s chicken strips but found my small BBQ sandwich to be more then filling.

I’ve managed to keep plugging along on the non roster invitee’s and after two weeks have completed 22 of the 30 teams. Boy am I tired of writing “In X years in the majors, xplayer has a total of xstats in xgames.” Aye aye aye.

Our televison appears to be on the way of going out and after watching a few moments of Valerie on the Stairs, an all right horror movie, we were forced to watch it on the computer. We started to watch 30 Days of Night but since we started a little late will have to finish it tonight.

Things that we’ll look forward to in March include the final weeks of Carrie being pregnant as well as some local racing. It’s also likely that we’ll talk about doing a lot of things with the house and end up doing nothing. It’s easier to talk about doing something then to do something.

I’m not sure what March has in store for us but I hope it can atleast let me catch my breath.
