My first basketball game

I went to my first basketball game on Tuesday night. (Feb 19) I was sick as a dog and had thrown up that morning but nothing was going to stop me, after all I did pay for these tickets.

After showing some rust during the first quarter and trailing by 5 the Spurs turned it on. They rallied to take a 4 point lead into the half.

Now this was all you can eat night and while I haven’t had a hotdog in over a year I managed to eat three of them things, along with a couple of bags of pop corn, some nasty nachos and a few too many sodas.

Hey I had paid for that so I might as well eat. I had barely eaten all day as it was.

The game was close heading into the fourth but the Spurs churned out 31 points in the final quarter to send the game into boredom with roughly five minues left. They won by 20 and Ime Udoka who had 12 points and 10 rebounds was selected as player of the game.

Tim Duncan finished with 15 rebounds.

I would have taken photos but the batteries in our power shot were dead and there was no way I was going to take the good camera when I was going to try and stuff my face.

Overall our seats were far better then I expected as we sat up in the nose bleeders but we could see what was going on with problem. Since it was against Charlotte and the game became a no contest in the fourth the arena wasn’t very loud.

I had a good time and if it didn’t cost so much to go it would be something I’d do more often. We hope to catch another game before the playoffs, but we’ll see how that works out with a baby and all.
