Ponson makes a stinker

It didn’t take Sidney Ponson long to prove he still has it. The 10 year veteran recently signed a contract with the Texas Rangers and made his debut earlier today.
I went ahead and made a photo to show you what he still has, because it’s certainly not skills.
He lasted 2 1/3 innings allowing four runs, six hits, and walking two against the Oakland A’s. Hopefully this is the last we hear of Ponson in camp and with the team.
As a refresher it’s worth nothing that Ponson has only been above average twice in his career and hasn’t been effective since 2003. Let’s take a look at his ERA+ over the last four years.
2004 BAL 87
2005 BAL 69
2006 NYY 43
2006 STL 85
2007 MIN 63
And to think I thought my Calculus scores were bad.
