Butler bounces back in Triple-A

Billy Butler appears to have figured out what ailed him earlier this season. Butler who was banished to Triple-A Omaha has sought revenge on the Pacific Coast League.

Since the demotion the 22-year-old is hitting .377/.441/.679 with three homers and just two strikeouts in 53 at-bats.

With little in the way of major league offense at his position it appears just to be a matter of days before the Royals reverse course and recall the right handed slugger.

Butler was hitting just .263 with 1 homer in 53 big league games with the Royals prior to his demotion. He was a first round pick of the club in 2004 and along with Alex Gordon figure to be building blocks for the club for years to come.

  1. As a Royals fan I hope Butler has figured it out. If the Royals are ever going to get things going in the right direction Butler, along with Alex Gordon and Mark Teahen, are going to have to produce.
