Parisi the latest Cardinal pitcher facing Tommy John

By john • Aug 11th, 2008 • Category: mike parisi, minor leagues, st. louis cardinals

Mike Parisi is the latest member of the St. Louis Cardinal organization to be facing Tommy John surgery. Parisi was diagnosed with a partial tear of his ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow.

While Parisi wasn’t particularly impressive in the majors (0-4, 8.22 ERA in 23 innings) he had been pitching well at the Triple-A level and could have been considered as a September call up. While at Memphis Parisi was 8-2 with a 3.86 ERA.
