Zambrano follows up no-no with nothing

Carlos Zambrano threw a no-hitter just days ago but was blasted for eight runs in 1 1/3 innings by the Cardinals on Friday.

Adam Kennedy who was playing outfield for the Cardinals did a good chunk of the damage when he took Zamrano deep for a grandslam in what ended up being a five-run first for the redbirds.

Kennedy made news earlier in the day when he told reporters he wanted out of St. Louis due to his lack of playing time. He is currently in the second year of a three year contract which pays him $10 million.

Kennedy went 4-for-5 on the day with five RBI, adding an RBI single in the second inning.

As for Zambrano he follows a laundry list of pitchers who have struggled following no hitters.
