Los Angeles Angels rookie starting pitcher Nick Adenhart died early Thursday morning in a hit-and-run accident in Fullerton, Calif., according to a family member.

Wood dismissed by winter league team

Brandon Wood, 23, has again been sent him from winter ball. Wood who appeared in 55 games with the Los Angeles Angels was hitting just .167 after 13 games in the Dominican Winter League.
