About
Currently living in San Antonio, Texas we are two huge baseball fans who attend a ton of minor league games and a few big league games each year.
Initially the website was just to be a place to hold some of the photos that we had taken. Once we started to create the site though we started adding more and more to it. The picture section that was the original idea has never really come together and instead they have found themselves stockpiled on our hard drive. Suppose it’s what we called a change of plans. Either way it hasn’t stopped us from taking photos or having them signed. That’s something we see ourselves doing for years to come.
While we’ll find ourselves writing about a variety of topics there are a few that will dominate the focus of our blog. Mainly a baseball blog we’ve found ourselves talking about other things from time to time.
- The clubs and players of the Texas League. We live in San Antonio, home of the Missions the Double-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres. While we find ourselves cheering for the Missions and wishing them the best on their way to the majors neither of us consider ourselves to be fans of the Padres. We don’t stop following them once they leave the Texas League, we’ll find ourselves following these players for years to come.
- The Texas Rangers. We just as well could talk about or like the Houston Astros but then again they are the Houston Astros and well if Nolan Ryan would rather be a Ranger then I darn well should be a fan of the team. We get plenty of their games on the FSN network so it makes it quite easy to follow. The only drawback is the long drive should we ever want to see the Rangers in action.
- Random Baseball Babble. We can’t always talk about the first two. After all there is that thing called the off season, and well there are some times when we are really interested in something that is going on in baseball that concerns neither of the two. As the season starts you’ll see less and less of this. Which is either a good or bad thing.
- Football (and ocassionally NASCAR). I’d be denying my true fan hood if I didn’t from time to time talk about either. We are huge NASCAR fans and while our origional site about racing hit the wall it hasn’t ruined our affection for the sport. John is a huge Cowboys fan and Carrie a Colts fan so if one of them is doing particually well you may find a post or two about it.
