Padilla goes the distance in Rangers win

By john • Apr 27th, 2008 • Category: minnesota twins, texas rangers, vicente padilla

Last night the Texas Rangers found a way to spoil the start of a returning Sidney Ponson with a comedy of errors and poor relief pitching.
On Sunday it was the Minnesota Twins turn.
The Rangers got to Twins starter Livan Hernandez early and often in Sunday’s contes. Milton Bradley started the scoring hitting a three run [...]

More then any other team today the Minnesota Twins seemed to lose player after player to the Rule 5 draft.
They couldn’t have expected anyone to want R.A. Dickey. After all Dickey spent all of last year in Nashville, the Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers.
The Twins signed the 33 year-old knuckleballer to a minor league [...]

For laughs R.A. Dickey

By john • Nov 29th, 2007 • Category: minnesota twins, r.a. dickey

Saw this on rotoworld. Apparently R.A. Dickey will get yet another shot in baseball.
Twins signed RHP R.A. Dickey and LHP Mariano Gomez to minor league contracts and invited them to spring training.
Dickey, now primarily a knuckleballer, went 13-6 with a 3.72 ERA for Triple-A Nashville last season. He could surprise as a back-of-the-rotation candidate. Gomez, [...]
