Maddux, Padres fall to Rockies
By john | April 22, 2007
Greg Maddux suffered his second loss of the season to the Colorado Rockies and youngster Jason Hirsh.
Maddux pitched well enough to be considered for a win after going seven and allowing four runs. While Maddux allowed seven hits, he walked only one, didn’t give up a long ball and the Rockies only stole one base against him.
Hirsh picked up his second win of the season after allowing just two runs over seven. He struck out seven and allowed four hits in the matchup.
The loss snapped the Padres three game win streak and prevented a sweep in Colorado.
