Greg Maddux will face off against the Cincinnati Reds Monday. On the hill for the Reds will be Matt Belisle (3-2, 3.45) who received a loss in his last start despite allowing just three unearned runs to the Houston Astros.
Maddux will be looking for his first win since he faced the Dodgers back on April 28th. In his last two outings he’s lasted 11.1 innings allowing 4 earned runs.
Jeff Conine of the Reds is a .313 career hitter against Maddux but has just a .668 OPS to go with those 15 hits in 48 at-bats. Adam Dunn on the other hand is just 7-for-38 for a .184 average but does have 4 home runs.
